Will the real Maryland team please stand up?

Okay, I've got to admit that I'm nervous about Saturday's game against Maryland. Maryland sometimes look like they are the best team in the ACC, and at other times look like pathetic. The Virginia debacle absolutely floored me.

I predict that Carolina will be Maryland by 10 points. Carolina's opportunistic defense will cause Maryland a lot of grief on Saturday.

What's your prediction?

  1. I think NC will win by 18. Bold? Yes. But let's look at the Virginia game from a few weeks back. Similar situation - we hadn't won in their place in a while. We had the game won, but turnovers and play-calling cost us a game that we really had in the bag. We were not sure of ourselves at that time, and it showed.

Now fast forward to today. I would say our mindset is one of confidence, and we now know that we can win on the road if we just take care of the ball and let our D make plays. I think our defense, Hakeem Nicks, and Shaun Draughn will have big games in a 31-13 victory on the road.

I expect MD to be up for the game, but the rainy weather will keep their fans inside and quiet. Expect at least one score out of our defense, which has shut down every opponent thus far.

Lok at our points against stats - McNeese State put up 27 points, Miami 24, and Notre Dame 24, and BC 24 (one on defense). I don't see Maryland eclipsing 14 points on us. They put up a grand total of 21 points against Deleware and Middle Tennessee combined. We will shut them down.

    F**k the turtle!
